Meet the Team
Dr. Nathan Ker
Dr. Nathan Ker, DO, has been in Wyoming most of his life, practicing medicine for nearly 20 years. He served as one of the original hospitalists and eventually the director of the hospitalist program at Wyoming Medical Center, growing the program to 12 physicians.
After a two-year hiatus in Colorado, Nathan moved back to Wyoming, practicing medicine at Douglas County Memorial Hospital.
When Dr. Ker is not serving his patients, he enjoys hunting, fishing, camping, his newfound farm life and spending time with his family.
Dr. Ker believes that freedom over healthcare and the choice to make healthcare decisions is crucial for patients today. His desire is to provide affordable and personalized healthcare to patients of all ages.
Dr. Ker and his wife have 4 children, 3 of which Emmi has taken as her own through the tragic death of their mother 10 years ago. After the passing of Dr. Ker’s late wife, he re-married. They now have a 4-year-old son together.
Together they opened RISE Direct Primary Care to give patients the quality and value they deserve in healthcare.

Emmi Ker, RN
Emmi Ker, RN, has served her community as a nurse for 13 years. She received her Associates Degree in Nursing from Central Wyoming College in Riverton, and held the “Most Compassionate Award” in her graduating class. Emmi began her career in nursing on the Telemetry floor at Wyoming Medical Center.
Caring for people is one of the greatest blessings she has experienced. Other hospitals that have been blessed by her service include: The Monitored Unit at Mountain View Regional Hospital and the Intensive Care Unit at Swedish Medical Center (Englewood, CO).
Emmi is most passionate about freedom of choice and healthy options. It is her prayer that every patient she encounters will feel God’s healing touch on their lives, and feel His love for them through her prayers.
When she is not caring for patients, she loves spending time with her family, being outdoors, reading and traveling.
